Wakefield Street Angels

Welcome to Wakefield Street Angels

Wakefield Street Angels is a volunteer organisation working alongside night marshals and police to provide a safety-net service to people who become vulnerable while enjoying Wakefield city centre's weekend night life.

The needs of these people may be the result of alcohol, attack, drug use, homelessness or any other issue that has caused distress or the potential for physical harm. We believe that people in need deserve care. Trained volunteers go out in Wakefield City Centre on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm to 3am. We help reunite friends, get people to their transport home and try to ensure that everyone can get to a place of safety before the end of the evening.
